  27.     ami shoppers a good mag, loads of reviews and toys of all sizes 
  28. and costs. i find the only problem with some, is if the mag is not made on 
  29. your contenent u may not be able to get all the stuff easily, or have any 
  30. idea what the price in your coinage is.

  34.     most definately A500/A2000 is outdated - btw compared to ibm 
  35. amiga has extremly long generation spans so your computer will probably 
  36. be good longer (i still uses A2000 from the early 90's and only have a 
  37. little trouble) but go for the 1200/4000
  38.  
  39.     as for the difference between the two the 4000 is like a ibm/mac 
  40. in DESIGN - key board , big box, montior sits on the box. the 1200 is a 
  41. keyboard with a drive in it and expansion slot for a hard disk / cd player
  42.  
  43. (someone correct me if im wrong i'm looking at old mags and they 
  44. might have changed style a bit)

  46.     the only problem with the 1200 is no more typing with the 
  47. keyboard on the lap. and with the 4000 if you don't put something in it - 
  48. disk drive, cd rom, a card of sorts you have a big empty box.

  50.     as for what u need: about 4 megs of ram (you DON'T need 16/36 like 
  51. an your ibm has most likley), most people like a hard drive (get one of 
  52. fair size), i'd also sugest a stereo montitor (unless youve got a sterio 
  53. with a corresponding line in)
